Ocean’s Thirteen

Better than the second one, almost as good as the first one. Worth renting.

The Messengers

I was afraid it would turn out to be a typical horror movie but I was pleasantly surprised. Can you think of a horror movie that didn’t end with a hint that the monster wasn’t really dead? That there would almost certainly be a sequel? Neither can I. Without giving away any of the story […]

Guy X

A black comedy about a soldier who is mistakenly posted to Greenland instead of Hawaii, through bureaucracy is assigned a different identity, falls in love, discovers a dark military secret, and starts a weekly newspaper. The main character is played by Jason Biggs. I enjoyed it.

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End

I understood the first film, the second one threw me for a loop, and this one was nearly impossible to follow. But it’s fun. Remember in the second movie how there were 342 different plot lines? I’d say 3 of them get cleared up in this movie. The only reasons to watch this is a) […]

Next

Nicholas Cage is a Vegas magician who can actually see his future two minutes ahead. Throw in Jessica Biel for looks, Julianne Moore for credibility, and an evil terrorist plot because that’s the flavour of the decade, and you have a wonderful film that will entertain you for two hours and then leave you scratching […]
