Surrogates
Bruce Willis is an FBI agent in an alternate reality. In this world people no longer leave their homes or interact with other people. They sit in “stim chairs” and control surrogate robots. Interesting action movie. Worth watching.

More »Denzel Washington plays Eli, a man who has been walking for 30 years, ever since the world was destroyed by a great war. He carries with him a book that he guards against anything that will prevent him from completing his mission. It’s a decent action movie with a satisfying ending. Worth watching.
More »This is a very strange movie. It’s one of those movies where you spend the whole time trying to figure out what’s going on, assuming there’s going to be an “a-ha!” moment at the end, and then there isn’t. A graduate student deals with a breakup by interviewing various men. That’s about it. The men [...]
More »After moving to a new school Will Burton finds himself as the manager of a rock band made up of the school’s less popular kids. After hard work, a few music montages, and the usual teenage misunderstandings that threaten to derail the entire movie, the underdog band makes it to the state-wide Bandslam competition. I [...]
More »Set in a world where there is no such thing as lying, where everybody is brutally honest, Ricky Gervais plays Mark – the first man to tell a lie. He soon learns that being the only person able to lie gives him enormous power. To his credit, after using his skills to get rich, he [...]
More »This movie just goes to show that having an all-star cast (Elisha Cuthbert, Tim Allen, Andie MacDowell, Jenna Elfman, Edward Hermann, Eric Christian Olsen, Chris Klein, Larry Miller) does not a good movie make. Elisha Cuthbert plays Barbie, the daughter of Henry Lefay (Tim Allen). Henry is serial husband – he can’t stop getting married, [...]
More »This movie didn’t do very well in the theatre where I work so I stayed away from it. My fiancee saw it and insisted that I see it too. I’m glad I did. Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a fun movie with surprisingly witty humour… and it has the voice talents of Mr. [...]
More »This is an wonderfully original movie. Three geeky friends are having a drink at their local pub when strange things begin to happen. It turns out that the men’s room has a “time leak” and the act of going in and coming out it is tantamount to time travel. The three friends, with the help [...]
More »Two newlyweds take an ill-fated mule trip into the grand canyon. Everything goes wrong and only one person comes out alive. It’s fairly typical for this type of movie – slow moving and kind of boring. The only notable thing is that it stars Yvonne Strahovski (of Chuck fame).
More »I used to watch this movie over and over when I was younger. It’s a group of kids in an Indiana Jones type movie. Classic.
More »A movie about serial killers and FBI agents in small-town America. This is one of those “twist at the very end” movies. Adequate.
More »This is a typical romantic comedy where two people who initially despise each other learn to love each other after experiencing some sort of crisis together. If you’ve seen the trailer for this movie you’ve basically seen the entire movie (except for the ending, which is predictable). Although it’s formulaic and we’ve seen this story [...]
More »The movie was dark, dingy, messy, fast-paced, exciting and exhausting.
More »Bruce Campbell at his best.
More »This is an amazing movie that shows what it is like to be part of the military bomb squad in Iraq. I have a friend who used to do this until he was injured by a bomb and he tells me that this movie is perfectly realistic.
More »Three sorority pledges have to tell a scary story as part of their hazing. This is basically three short horror stories strung together by some retarded plot. Pass.
More »A very low budget jazz movie. The notable thing about this movie is that Amy Adams stars. If the budget could be increased to get some decent production value it would be a wonderful movie. As it stands the cheap production detracts from the good music and story.
More »A woman duct tapes her husband to the toilet when he tells her he’s leaving her. This is one of those movies that takes place almost entirely in one room. I find that the story for this type of movie has to be exceptional to make up for all the talky-talky. Pass.
More »A fictional documentary about alien abduction. Unusual but not enough to hold my interest. Pass.
